Privacy Policy

The Health Agents is an independent, licensed insurance brokerage serving Florida and other states. This policy explains what this website collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

The short version

• This site has no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
• We only receive information you type into a form and send us.
• We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone who is not helping us serve you.
• The quote tool sends you to HealthSherpa, a separate company with its own privacy policy.

What we collect

When you use the call-back form we receive your name and phone number, and — if you provide them — your email address, the topic you selected, your preferred language, and whether you ticked the box agreeing to receive text messages. We also record the wording of the consent you were shown, the page you submitted from, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. The last three are recorded automatically so that a submission can be verified later; they are not used to profile you.

When you use the quote tool we do not receive anything. Entering your ZIP code and pressing the button sends you to HealthSherpa with your ZIP code and an identifier showing you came from us. What happens after that is governed by HealthSherpa's privacy policy, not ours.

What we do not collect on this website: health information, medical records, Social Security numbers, Medicare or member ID numbers, dates of birth, or payment details. Please do not send any of these through the website form. If we need them to complete an application we will collect them directly, by phone or through a secure enrollment platform.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts. The only thing stored in your browser is a single flag, held in your browser's session storage, that stops a seasonal notice from reappearing on every page. It contains no personal information and is erased when you close the tab.

Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. That is a normal part of serving a web page.

How we use what you send

We use it to answer you — to call or email you back, to answer your question, to quote and compare plans, and to help you enroll and keep your coverage in good order. We also keep records where insurance regulations require us to.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Text messages

If you tick the SMS box, or give us your mobile number as a client, you agree to receive text messages from us about your request or your coverage. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us, and we do not send marketing by text.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Who else sees it

We share information only with companies that help us operate, and only as far as they need it:

• Cloudflare — hosts this website and delivers it to you.
• Resend — delivers the form submission to our inbox as an email.
• Google — our email is Gmail, and we may keep a copy of enquiries in a private Google Sheet.
• HealthSherpa — the licensed platform we use for quoting and enrolling, if you choose to use it.
• Constant Contact — sends email to existing clients.
• Insurance carriers and government marketplaces — when you ask us to submit an application on your behalf.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients are kept only as long as we may reasonably still be of help. Client records are kept for as long as insurance and tax rules require, which is generally several years after the relationship ends.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our inbox and records is restricted to our licensed agents. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission over the internet is completely safe — which is why we ask you not to send sensitive identifiers through the website form.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or stop contacting you. Email TheHealthAgents@Gmail.com or call 305-332-1199 and we will take care of it. There is no charge and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under your state's law. Tell us and we will honor them.

Other people's websites

Where we link to another site — HealthSherpa, an insurance carrier, Medicare.gov — that site's own privacy policy applies once you leave ours. We are not responsible for how other companies handle your information.

Children

This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. Parents can of course ask us about coverage for their children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
